While participation is not required, most companies who enter the Beauty Awards choose to submit in the Demonstration gift bag. In order to ensure the fair and equal distribution of products, sampling will NOT be permitted at the individual product stations.
For more information on participating, email srefael@cew.org.
As an exhibiting company, can I attend this event?
Due to space constraints, Exhibiting Companies can only attend the event if they are an actual Demonstrator or are a CEW member and purchase tickets. No tickets will be available for general sale.

When can I set up my exhibit?
Setup of the demonstration area will take place on February 20, 2008 during SETUP PERIOD (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM - view show timeline). Setup staff will not be permitted on premises before or after this period. Setup staff on site will be asked to leave at the end of this period.
Can I distribute product/product samples at my table?
In order to ensure the fair and equal distribution of products, sampling will NOT be permitted at the individual product stations. Companies have the option of participating in the Demonstration Gift Bag, which will be distributed to all attendees. Why should I submit product in the Demonstration Gift Bag?
Can my product tables be next to each other?
No. To facilitate viewing by the voting panel, entries are grouped by category, then by company name. In the event that a company has two products entered in the same category, there is still no guarantee that they will be next to one another, as they may fall at the end of a row.
Where can I store additional materials/personal items on the day of the event?
All supplies must fit underneath the Demonstrator’s table. Additional space is not available.
Why am I required to carry Exhibitor Insurance for this event?
ALL DEMONSTRATING COMPANIES MUST CARRY LIABILITY INSURANCE. CEW IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR INJURIES INCURRED BEFORE, DURING OR AFTER THE DEMONSTRATION.
How can I send exhibit materials on the day of the event?
Demonstrators must carry in all exhibitor materials during Setup Period (12:00 PM - 2:00 PM - view show timeline). ALL DELIVERIES SENT DIRECTLY TO THE METROPOLITAN PAVILION WILL BE REFUSED.
Can I send exhibit materials BEFORE the day of the event?
No. DELIVERIES SENT TO CEW OR THE METROPOLITAN PAVILION BEFORE THE EVENT WILL BE REFUSED.
Can I have more than one setup person?
Each product entered can have up to 2 set-up personnel, however, all non-demonstrating personnel will be asked to leave the premises at the close of Setup Period (2:00 PM - view show timeline) to facilitate clean-up before the event, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Can I setup my display before or after the Setup Period?
No. Due to space/cleaning constraints, we ask that ALL DISPLAYS be set up during Setup Period (12:00 - 2:00 PM - view show timeline).
Can I have a raffle at my table?
No. Entrants are not allowed to have raffles or other prize incentives at the Product Demonstration.
DEMONSTRATOR INFORMATION
Why must I have one demonstrator per product entered?
We require each ENTRY to provide a demonstrator for individual exhibition to ensure that each product entered receives equal representation to the voting panel.
Who can be a demonstrator?
Demonstrators can be male and do NOT have to be members or CEW. Please note that this person will have to demonstrate & answer general questions about this product—we recommend providing someone who feels comfortable dealing with large crowds.
Demonstrator Check-in
Demonstrator check-in will be located in the Metropolitan Pavilion (125 W. 18th Street). Demonstrators MUST check in between 3:00 - 4:00 PM on February 20th and receive a demonstrator badge and bracelet (see below). Any entry whose demonstrator has not checked in by 4:00 PM will be disqualified, no exceptions.
What are the demonstrator badges & bracelets for, and how can I get one?
Demonstrator badges & bracelets help event attendees & personnel identify your demonstrator. Bracelets and wristbands will be provided to each demonstrator upon check-in. ONLY ONE BADGE & WRISTBAND will be issued to each product, and they must be worn AT ALL TIMES by the Demonstrator during the demonstration. Demonstrators found not wearing both the badge & wristband will be escorted from the event. Only one demonstrator will be allowed per product entered.
Someone else is demonstrating my product, what should they bring?
Please have them bring photo id, the product name, company & category & contact name. Demonstrators will not be permitted to enter without this information.
Do demonstrators receive product gift bags?
Gift bags will be only be distributed to demonstrators who are CEW members AND have registered as an attendee at www.cew.org and paid the $25 entrance fee. PLEASE NOTE: Gift Bags will be distributed to Member Demonstrators at the end of the event ONLY. Demonstrators WILL NOT be permitted to pick up gift bags during Exhibition Hours (Demonstrator Pickup Time: 8:00 - 8:30 PM - view show timeline).
Can I have more than one demonstrator?
Unfortunately, due to the popularity of this event, we limit companies to only ONE demonstrator per product entered, NO EXCEPTIONS. Demonstrators at the event found to not have the Demonstrator Badge & wristband will be escorted from the building, NO EXCEPTIONS.
Can a demonstrator switch out with another demonstrator?
Demonstrators will NOT be allowed to switch out with other demonstrators–a demonstrator may leave event facility to take a break, but will not gain re-admittance to the event unless she is in possession of both the Demonstrator Badge & wristband.
