As a celebrated voice for current events and women’s empowerment, Mika will deliver a keynote address on October 22 on the importance of equity for women. She launched Know Your Value, a book-turned-nationwide movement in partnership with NBCUniversal to support and empower an inclusive community that helps all women be recognized for their worth in business and life. Event attendees will be the first to learn which brands are included in this year’s Indie26 Report, featuring 26 outstanding Black female-founded beauty companies. The report will be released Nov. 17, and only event attendees have will access. Additionally, the event will feature a panel discussion including Melissa Butler, Founder & CEO, The Lip Bar; Mahisha Dellinger, Founder & CEO, Curls Beauty Brand; and Taraji P Henson, Founder & CEO, TPH by Taraji.

Sessions are planned throughout both days of the event featuring experts sharing key takeaways to help grow your knowledge base, fuel inspiration, inform new strategies and help your business flourish. Among the speaker lineup on October 21 is a fireside chat with Sarah Kunst, Managing Director, Cleo Capital, who will be covering the statistical challenges of business funding for female entrepreneurs, especially Black women. On October 22, the event will feature Sarah Willersdorf, Managing Director and Partner, The Boston Consulting Group, who will share insights from BCG’s proprietary report around workplace challenges for women; Shelley Zalis, CEO, The Female Quotient, who will discuss the importance of women being true to themselves and leveraging their unique strengths to build stronger business cultures; Fran Hauser, author of Myth of the Nice Girl, who will talk about five key pieces of advice from her best-selling book; Laura Gurski, Accenture, who will discuss the importance of fostering inclusivity; and Kristy Click, Ipsos, who will talk about what the future looks like for a genderless world.
