Rising to the top of the corporate ladder requires hard work, long hours and sacrifices, but sometimes all that extra effort can lead to unhappiness and affect one’s ability to make an impact at their company. Finding the perfect harmony between both work and personal responsibilities can lead to career success. In fact, beauty industry professionals who reported having a good work-life balance are more likely to be satisfied at their jobs, feel good about where they work, and are less likely to make a career move within the next year, according to the 2014 Beauty Salary + Job Market Report, presented by CEW and 24 Seven.

At CEW’s upcoming Making Your Mark in Beauty, Christian Dior Perfumes’ Jennifer Harbin and Estée Lauder’s Colleen Scanlon will provide insights on how attendees can enhance the quality of their job performance by maintaining a healthy work/life balance, managing stress and living a healthy lifestyle. During the event, the two will also share the most important career and life lessons they’ve learned, success stories and challenges, and also discuss the skills needed to stand out from the crowd and soar to the top in the beauty industry.

Colleen and Jennifer are impressive individuals who were recognized earlier this year as CEW Beauty’s Top Talent Award Honorees for their outstanding performance, leadership potential, and the impact they’ve made on their company and the industry. At the Marie Claire sponsored event, the two will offer inspiration and practical strategies all career levels can benefit from learning.

Hosted by the Fashion Institute of Technology, the event will kick off at 6pm on Thursday October 29. Individual CEW member tickets are $50, and non-member tickets are $70.

Seats for the event are filling up quickly. Confirmed attendees include executives from Birchbox, Clinique, LVMH Perfumes & Cosmetics, Elizabeth Arden and L’Oréal USA. To register to attend this event, click here.
