Amazon Prime has launched sample boxes for its Prime members across several categories, including beauty. Called Prime Samples, the new program allows Prime members to try samples of products with prices ranging between $2 and $4. To encourage full size purchases of what’s been sampled, for each sample a customer buys, she will receive a credit equal to the price paid for the sample. Credits can be used toward a future purchase of select full-size products from the category sampled. News of Amazon Samples was first reported by Metro U.S.

There are both mass and luxury beauty samples on offer. Luxe beauty brands included in the Prime Samples beauty category include Vita Liberta, Jane Iredale, La Roche Posay, iS Clinical, Color Wow, L’Occitane, Elemis, Mario Badescu, Elizabeth Arden and Clark’s Botanicals. Mass brands such as Olay, Maui Moisture, L’Oreal Paris, Aveeno, Simple, Aquaphor and Garnier are available, too. Users can also purchase curated boxes targeting different needs, such as the Sun Care, Anti-Aging, Men’s Grooming and Skin Care Luxury Boxes, which sell between $14.99 and $19.99, and the Women’s Daily Beauty Sample Box, containing mass brands, for $7.99.

Samples are available across a wide range of product types, including food and beverages, sports nutrition and personal care items, in addition to beauty.
