Ashley Miles, Refinery29’s Chief Client Officer, has been tapped by Arianna Huffington to lead Thrive Global’s business sales, marketing and monetization strategy in the newly created role of Global Chief Business Officer, effective March 25. Ashley will report directly to Arianna, Founder and CEO, and will also be responsible for accelerating growth through Thrive’s corporate and brand partnerships. Additionally, she will oversee the rollout of a suite of well-being and behavior-change products, which includes a range of digital services to enhance employee well-being, productivity, performance and purpose.

“Our mission of ending the stress and burnout epidemic around the world has never been more urgent. As we embark on our third year – with offices in New York, San Francisco, Mumbai, Melbourne and Athens – this is the perfect time for a proven, creative business leader like Ashley to help us accelerate our growth and continue to expand our impact around the world,” said Arianna. “Ashley is a trailblazer, and her experience scaling companies, combined with her passion for helping people unlock their greatest potential, makes her the perfect addition to our leadership team.”

Ashley’s career spans sales, marketing, technology and business operations. In 2018 Refinery29 promoted her from the role of Executive Vice President of Sales and Brand Partnerships to the company’s first-ever Chief Client Officer. She helped to exponentially scale Refinery29 and diversify its revenue growth to a nine-figure business, and also oversaw the launch and expansion of 29Rooms, the company’s most expansive global experiential offering. Prior to Refinery29, she served as Regional Vice President at Brand.net, an ad technology company, where she helped build its sales force, ran marketing and ad operations, and scaled revenue across Fortune 100 advertisers. Prior to that role, she served as Executive Sales Director, Beauty at Time Inc/InStyle.com, where she piloted their growth in the beauty and wellness category.

Ashely noted that she is honored to join Thrive and work with organizations and leaders around the world.

“Thrive is tackling the worldwide stress and burnout epidemic, which is a hugely meaningful opportunity to make a genuine impact on consumers’ and employees’ lives,” said Ashely, who serves on CEW’s Board of Governors. “What makes this so special is that throughout my career and personal journey, I’ve always been passionate about helping people and companies achieve their maximum potential, which is deeply aligned with Thrive’s mission.”
