Pat McGrath Adds Mascara to Permanent Collection


Pat McGrath has entered the competitive mascara category with the launch of her FetishEyes Mascara. The legendary makeup artist released a mascara in the past as part of her Dark Star limited-edition collection, but the new formula will be the first mascara available in her namesake brand’s permanent line up. Pat first debuted FetishEyeson the Prada SS19 runway in Milan, where it was used to create Sixties-in­spired doll lashes. It was also recently used at Versace’s Pre-Fall ‘19 Show in New York in December. Now, the masses will have the opportunity to try the long-awaited product when it becomes available on February 14 at 12pm EST on PATMcGRATH.COM. The formula is designed to create editorial-inspired lash looks and features a blend of conditioning peptides intended to strengthen lashes, and panthenol to hydrate and keep lashes soft to the touch. It will retail for $28.

DSW Enters Personal Care with CBD Line
Footwear brand DSW is entering the personal care market with a line of hemp-derived cannabidiol (CBD) personal care products under the Seventh Sense Botanical Therapy brand, owned by Green Growth Brands. The collection includes muscle balms, body lotions, body washes and foot creams. The partnership follows a successful test phase conducted last autumn in which Green Growth Brands sold select Seventh Sense products in 10 DSW stores. During the first 10 weeks of the test period, 74.4 percent of products sold, significantly exceeding expectations. The new agreement, effective January 9, includes 54,960 units and covers sales in 96 U.S.-based DSW stores.

“We have seen recent shifts in consumer behavior accelerate changes in the retail industry,” said Roger Rawlins, CEO of DSW Inc., “North America’s widespread adoption of the use of CBD products is one of the best examples of these shifts, and we could not be more excited about our partnership with Green Growth Brands and the introduction of their products to our customers.”

The company noted that accessories, including beauty and wellness products, is a growing category for DSW and will continue to be a component of its growth strategy.
