Beauty with Benefits, QVC’s joint fundraiser with CEW in support of Cancer and Careers, has a new broadcasting partner—and more participating brands than ever before. In addition to QVC’s programming on Thursday, April 25 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. (ET), fellow Qurate company, HSN, will host their own broadcast from 9 p.m. to 11 p.m. (ET), featuring additional products for the cause. Devoting four hours of content speaks volumes about Qurate’s commitment to Cancer and Careers—and their leadership on uniting so many companies from the industry.  In total, the event will include 66 brands ranging from iconic to indie, an uptick from last year’s high of 35. Skin care, hair care, body care and color cosmetics will all be featured.

The annual Gift with Purchase* has also grown in size and value—another indicator of the outpouring of support from the industry. This year’s “Brave is Beautiful” branded tote, filled with a selection of 13 curated products, boasts a minimum value of $208. “These ‘power-donors’ have made a significant contribution to entice people to shop and support—donating up to 65,000 units each,” said Rob Robillard, VP of Buying, Integrated Beauty at HSN & QVC. “It’s a roll-call of champions who participated on the highest level.” This year’s GWP donors include Skinfix, ELEMIS, Perricone MD, bareMinerals, WEN by Chaz Dean, philosophy, Moroccanoil, Skinn and Korres, among others.

The companies who donate feel driven to get involved,” said Cancer and Careers’ Executive Director, Rebecca Nellis. “It’s more than just handing us products or lending their name. They are invested in the success of the event—and in the survivors who will benefit.”

For many, the cause is personal, including television personality and breast cancer survivor, Giuliana Rancic. Rancic will serve as the HSN spokesperson, in addition to donating from her new skin care line. “Beauty with Benefits is such an incredible program. I am proof that this program works—proof that going back to work and getting back into my career, has healed me in ways that I would never have imagined,” she shared.  “I, along with the Fountain of Truth team, am honored to partner with CEW, HSN & QVC to help so many people affected by cancer.” Asked why this wide-scale cause marketing initiative was a fit for QVC and HSN, Rob responded, “Our unique platform is all about making products personal and relevant through the power of storytelling. Sharing the stories of people with cancer, and the challenges they face on the job, deeply connects with our employees, and our audience.
