At a time when relationships and connections are more important than ever, Cancer and Careers is thrilled to once again join forces with two multiplatform retailers who have made relationships core to their business – QVC and HSN. The companies will come together for the annual charitable event, Beauty with Benefits, in affiliation with CEW, taking place on Thursday, May 28, at 8 p.m. ET on QVC, and at 10 p.m. ET on HSN. Customers can shop participating products beginning May 1 on and as supplies last through July 31. This year’s event will not only fuel Cancer and Careers’ signature year-round workplace support, it will also fund their COVID-19 Relief Effort to help cancer survivors weather these unprecedented times.

“Survivors are already work-challenged and with the arrival of the coronavirus they are especially vulnerable,” said Executive Director Rebecca Nellis. “Whether they are trying to find a job or hold on to one, there is a tidal wave of need.”

Year after year, Beauty with Benefits galvanizes the beauty industry, as evidenced by the 65 participating brands that have donated products this year—from skin care to hair care, nail color to color cosmetics. Leading a long list of annual contributors and customer favorites are bareMinerals®, Mally Beauty, BECCA, beautyblender, SK-II, Beauty by POPSUGAR, and Dior. The roster of newcomers is just as noteworthy, including Urban Decay, Lancôme, Beekman 1802, L’Occitane, and Drunk Elephant, among others.

Now in its eighth year, Beauty with Benefits has raised more than $9.5 million for Cancer and Careers, thanks to the immense reach of the QVC and HSN platforms and the resonance of the cause, which has grown in urgency.

“We are responding in real time to the crisis,” said Rebecca, “from our Ask the Expert sessions with career counselors, oncologists and social workers to our Webinars on how to network during social distancing. We’ve always offered virtual services, but now, they’re a lifeline.”

This year’s Beauty with Benefits will also make up to 500 new financial assistance grants available, the most in Cancer and Careers’ history, to help cancer survivors navigate COVID-19-related obstacles, and support the creation of COVID-19-related educational programs.

Television personality Giuliana Rancic, who is also an entrepreneur, Beauty with Benefits donor, and cancer survivor, will serve as this year’s spokesperson. She is featured in both print and video PSAs, as well as in the social campaign. This year’s event includes a Gift with Purchase with the largest retail value to date, featuring 12 items with a minimum value of $230*.
