This edition of Beauty Scene reports on CBD-focused wellness brand Standard Dose’s NoMad store; new offerings from lash extension salon, Amazing Lash Studio; and a new lipstick range supporting a charity initiative from Charlotte Tilbury. Here’s what you need to know.

Standard Dose Opens in NoMad

CBD wellness curator, Standard Dose, came onto the scene in January with its CBD-infused collection of lifestyle and beauty products. On Tuesday Standard Dose unveiled a three-story retail destination located at 1145 Broadway focused on CBD wellness, along with daily yoga and meditation classes, and educational workshops. There’s also a tea bar serving custom blends and a meditation studio where guided sessions can be booked. Lastly, an outdoor rooftop is available for hosting community events. In June, the lower level of the store will feature a spa treatment room for clean beauty services and body treatments. With these services, consumers can sample a selection of luxury CBD skin care products, as well.

Amazing Lash Studio Introduces Two New Offerings

Amazing Lash Studio is launching two new services nationwide at its 218 studios across 29 states. The first service: Featherweight Classic Lashes, featuring ultra-light extensions for a lush look. The lashes are flat and tapered into a cylindrical shape with a crescent shaped top and bottom. This shape provides a stronger bond and the wider base yields more fullness without compromising the health of the natural lashes. This look can be customized to give a volumized or more natural effect. The second service is its Lash Lift treatment, great for those consumers who don’t want extensions. The treatment lifts the natural lash to create a semi-permanent curl for the appearance of longer, thicker lashes. The treatment lasts between four and six weeks, depending on a consumer’s natural lash-growth cycle.

Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Collection

Makeup artist and titular brand founder, Charlotte Tilbury, recently announced a £1 million pledge to the charity Women for Women International, committed to helping women survivors of war rebuild their lives. Charlotte also revealed that she will introduce a new Hot Lips collection, called Hot Lips 2, launching in June. The range will include 11 new lipsticks inspired by 11 new iconic men and women. Since 2016, Charlotte has been a Global Ambassador for the Women for Women International and her support of the charity was inspired by one woman’s emotional story of how she felt empowered by her lipstick while living in conflict.
