Community. Empowerment. Women. These three words briefly, but powerfully expresses Cosmetic Executive Women’s (CEW) passionate mission for the beauty industry. At the heart of the organization is its members, and this month, its membership has achieved a major milestone, climbing to 10,000 worldwide, representing 2,500 companies and 30 countries.

“CEW was founded with a singular vision of helping women in the beauty industry achieve, advance and inspire,” says CEW President, Carlotta Jacobson. “As our organization exceeds 10,000 members, we will continue to empower and support the beauty industry community to pursue leadership paths.”

Since its founding in 1954, CEW has steadily attracted a strong and diverse membership of industry professionals looking to network and develop their careers by taking advantage of the unparalleled resources the organization offers. Some of these benefits include networking events, indie brand support, proprietary reports, industry leader talks, mentoring and its coveted Beauty Awards.

Guided by Carlotta and a 65-plus member board, the organization is also dedicated to fueling the potential of its members and recognizing their achievements through its annual Top Talent Awards program, which recognizes mid-career women for their performance and potential, and the annual Achiever Awards Luncheon, which celebrates C-Suite women industry leaders for their accomplishments. This year marks the 43rd year of the Achiever Awards which will be held at New York Hilton Midtown on Friday, September 21. Six women will be acknowledged at the luncheon, and for the first time, a man, for efforts and support in the advancement of women in the beauty industry.
