If there’s anything the past year has proven it’s that the power of community is what unites the beauty industry. With that message in mind, CEW has enhanced, reimagined and renamed its annual Beauty Creators Awards (formerly known as Beauty Awards) now in its 28th year, to spotlight the industry’s innovators and their teams – Beauty Creators – in an elevated and heightened way. As part of the newly envisioned program, Beauty Creators will look to benefit as a result of several new initiatives.
To start, CEW has cultivated 25 Ambassadors to help promote and support this year’s program. The Ambassadors comprise a mix of beauty influencers, brand executives and industry stars that will create content over the next six months on behalf of the program to generate awareness and excitement. Ambassadors will also be casting their vote on product entries into the awards program, resulting in the event’s Finalists. Select Ambassadors will appear during CEW’s first ever Finalist Announcement event, to be held virtually July 13. On November 3, select Ambassadors will also take part in CEW’s annual Winner’s Reveal & Celebration.
The 2021 CEW Beauty Creators Awards also looks to increase consumer engagement, so CEW has expanded several program elements to be more relevant to a broader audience. This year consumers will have access to virtual programming, which will feature their favorite beauty brand founders and thought leaders. Consumers will also be able to access all Beauty Creators Awards-related content published on CEW’s news site, Beauty News.
And, to ease the product submission process, changes have been made to modernize entering Beauty Creators Awards. Submission forms have been simplified for more ease and efficiency for brands. Award categories have been streamlined (29 vs. 49) to ensure maximum consumer relevancy, while multiple category submissions are now allowed for more flexibility and opportunity. CEW Beauty Creators Awards has refreshed is Finalist and Winner’s seals, which can be used for marketing purposes. And, entry eligibility has been expanded: products launched between January 2019 and April 2021 can enter this year’s program.
CEW Beauty Creators Awards will open for early entries from April 1 to April 15 for a reduced rate of $550, with late entries from April 15 to May 6 for a rate of $650. Member voting will commence on July 13 through to August 8. For more information, please click here.
