A who’s who in beauty gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of two beauty industry icons Monday afternoon at the annual Spirit of Beauty Luncheon gala benefiting the March of Dimes at Cipriani 42nd Street.

Lisa Price, Founder of Carol’s Daughter, and Elana Drell Szyfer, CEO of Laura Geller Beauty, accepted their honors as a room full of beauty executives, publishers and public relations honchos raised more than $49,800 for the charity. While the money raised was certainly something to celebrate—$10,000 of which was donated by Conde Nast—the afternoon’s goal was $100,000. Lisa was presented her award by HSN CEO, Mindy Grossman, while Elana was presented her honor by Nancy McKay, CEO of Nest Fragrances.

In addition to Lisa and Elana, mother and daughter team Shelia and Kara Rosenblum were honored as Volunteer Par Excellence award recipients.

The luncheon was opened up with a heart felt speech by Shape’s Executive Beauty Director, Cheryl Kramer Kaye, who talked of her experience in the NICU when her twin boys were born at 32 weeks, and how they benefited from the technology and medical research funded by the March of Dimes.
