Facial bar Face Haus is partnering with customized skin health startup Atolla on a bespoke, data-driven facial treatment called Me, Myself and I Facial. It will be available for $100 at Face Haus in New York City located on the Upper East Side at 1140 Third Avenue beginning March 16.
Face Haus is known for pioneering the facial bar concept with affordable and accessible facials, while Atolla leverages machine learning to deliver customized skin care products that evolve as skin changes with the seasons, environment and age. Born at MIT, Atolla was developed by board certified dermatologist Dr. Ranella Hirsch, and captures precise details about individual skin needs, allowing Face Haus’ estheticians to know the consumer’s skin on a deeper level.
By using information about personal levels of hydration, oil, pH and absorption, plus the skin care expertise and touch of Face Haus’ estheticians, the Me, Myself and I Facial aims to gives consumers a custom facial and as well as a custom product. After receiving his or her personalized, data-driven facial, a consumer’s free, tailored serum is shipped directly to a customer’s door.
Here’s how the partnership works. First, consumers answer a series of brief questions aimed at formulating the best treatment and serum for their skin. Next, an esthetician performs an enhanced skin analysis and consultation — including measuring oil, moisture and pH level, and determining texture and absorption preferences. Data is collected and instantly transmitted to Atolla to formulate a customized serum. All Atolla serums use high-quality, gluten-free and vegan ingredients and are free from artificial fragrance, preservatives, phthalates, parabens and sulfates.
