Ivy Beauty has announced that the company has donated $30,000 to Know Your Rights Camp [KYRC] to help create programs for the most vulnerable communities and elevate the next generation of change leaders.

Know Your Rights Camp’s mission is to advance the liberation and well-being of Black and brown communities through education, self-empowerment, mass-mobilization and the creation of new systems that elevate the next generation of change leaders. As a direct response to police terrorism against Black and brown people, KYRC provides young people with legal, cultural, and community resources to fight back against systemic oppression, police terrorism, and racial inequality.

At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, KYRC pivoted from offering youth camps to creating community support programs focused on providing immediate relief to the most vulnerable communities. KYRC’s COVID-19 Relief Fund was set up to help provide food, supplies and PPE to those in the community while also covering essential living costs for those needing shelter. KYRC also partnered with Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights to support local groups working to free people from jails and launched their Legal Defense Initiative to provide free legal representation for Freedom Fighters who have been arrested or detained for fighting injustice across the country.

“We’re greatly impressed with Know Your Right’s Camp’s movement and impact on Black and brown communities. All the work they’ve done from the camps, to supporting those in need during COVID-19 and providing free legal counsel to those fighting injustice, is admirable. We’re honored to be able to contribute in some small way to help KYRC continue to do the incredibly important work that they do,” said a representative from Ivy Beauty, which makes the All Mighty Bond, Gold Finger, i-ENVY, Kiss New York Professional, Red by Kiss and Ruby Kisses brands.
