The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has announced several promotions within its Executive Leadership Team in two key areas of its business, effective January 1.

Within the company’s skin care portfolio, Julie Van Ongevalle has been promoted to Global Brand President, Origins. In her new role, she will continue to report to Jane Hertzmark Hudis, Group President, and willlead Origins’ next phase of global growth. Julie joined the brand in 2016 as Senior Vice President/General Manager where she oversaw the brand’s natural beauty positioning and its digital strategy to engage the next generations of highly-influential consumers. She began her career at Lauder in 2004 as Marketing Director, Clinique, Benelux, and has held leadership roles of increasing responsibility during her 15-year tenure at the company, including positions in M·A·C’s North America and EMEA regions.

“Julie’s brand building expertise and deep understanding of consumers, channels and markets has led Origins to achieve accelerated global growth,” said Jane. “I am thrilled Julie will continue leading Origins as Global Brand President, further leveraging the brand’s high-performance natural position and engaging new generations of consumers.”

In the United Kingdom (U.K.) and Ireland market, the company’s third largest market, Philippe Warnery has been promoted to President, U.K. and Ireland, and will continue to report to Cedric Prouvé, Group President. Since 2017, he led the company as Senior Vice President and General Manager, where he developed a transformation strategy to position the company for success in the market against a backdrop of geo-political and economic volatility by establishing new retailer relationships, introducing new models to reshape lines of distribution, and fueling the growth of its online business.

Philippe has been with Lauder Companies for 13 years and has held several leadership positions including Regional Director Clinique, Travel Retail Asia/Pacific in Singapore; General Manager of Origins International in New York; and, Senior Vice President and General Manager in Canada.
