Gretchen Saegh-Fleming has been tapped as Chief Marketing Officer for L’Oréal USA, effective May 1. Most recently Gretchen served as Senior Vice President within the company’s Luxe Division in the United States, leading the direct-to-consumer business for the entire luxury brand portfolio, including Lancôme, Kiehl’s, Yves Saint Laurent Beaute, Giorgio Armani Beauty & Fragrance, Urban Decay, IT cosmetics and Clarisonic. According to a release by the company, “her expertise in ecommerce business models, her passion for developing innovations in customer experience, and her track record in leading digital transformation will be invaluable as the company continues to accelerate its digital leadership.”

She replaces Marie Gulin-Merle, who is leaving L’Oréal USA to join Calvin Klein Inc. as Chief Marketing Officer.

Gretchen joined L’Oréal USA in 2012 as a Vice President, overseeing eCommerce and digital innovation for L’Oréal’s International Designer Collection brands within L’Oréal Luxe. In this role, she launched an omnichannel ecommerce strategy to engage and retain customers, and drove the digital transformation of the brands.

Prior to L’Oréal, Gretchen held various leadership roles at startups and at General Electric, where she launched GE’s “ecomagination” brand campaign and website in China, and led a digital rebranding effort for GE Healthcare.”
