Men’s wellness and grooming brand Scotch Porter announced the expansion of its senior leadership team with the hire of Christian Chopra as President of the brand.

Prior to this role, Christian served as General Manager of Consumer Beauty at Henkel Canada Corporation, where he spearheaded the division’s innovation strategy resulting in increased distribution and sales. In addition to holding strategy and marketing roles at Henkel in Germany, Canada, and the U.S., Christian served as a brand executive at L’Oréal, managing product marketing for Lancôme Skin Care. As Scotch Porter’s President, Christian will oversee the company’s business operations and growth strategies, working cross-functionally to design and implement new systems and processes.

Calvin Quallis, founder and CEO of Scotch Porter, said in a statement, “As the Scotch Porter brand continues to grow, we are thrilled to welcome Christian to the team to drive and lead tactical business operations efforts that will be critical to our expansion, positioning Scotch Porter as a leader in the men’s wellness and personal care space. Christian brings over a decade of expertise in scaling consumer beauty brands and valuable strategic planning skills to our senior leadership team that we believe will guide and advance the organization. As a mission-driven and focused brand, Christian also shares our values and is perfectly aligned with our goal to create measurable, visible, and clear change in the conditions of the customers and communities that we serve.”

Christian said in a statement, “I am very excited to be joining the Scotch Porter team. I have had the opportunity to witness the CPG and Beauty industry evolve from placing emphasis on simply providing a good product to an intense focus on brands that are more than the products they provide, but also mission and value-driven. I believe that Scotch Porter as a brand that is grounded in a higher purpose, is actively redefining the men’s wellness and personal care space, and it is an honor to join this tremendous team at such an exciting time in the industry. I look forward to partnering with the team to build the business.”

To date, Scotch Porter has served over a million customers nationally. In the past year, the brand has expanded both its product offerings and its distribution beyond direct-to-consumer channels, entering extended retail partnerships with the world’s largest retailers including Target, Walmart, CVS, and Macy’s. Earlier this year, Scotch Porter announced the completion of $11 million in Series B equity financing, led by Pendulum Holdings, and the expansion of its hair collection on the shelves of Target locations nationwide.
