Julia Sloan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Global Marketing & Integrated Communications, NARS Cosmetics. In this new cross-functional role, which became effective July 1, Julia is responsible for building brand equity, reshaping the digital experience, cultivating innovation and strengthening consumer engagement through innovative initiatives, activations and experiences. Prior to her promotion, Julia was Senior Vice President, Global Integrated Communications & Digital Strategy.

Partnering closely with Founder and Creative Director, François Nars, Julia looks to bring his creative vision to life by driving the strategic efforts of the global marketing, integrated communications, digital, e-commerce and creative functions to create an authentic and meaningful customer experience.

“The way we engage with our fans and consumers has shifted so drastically in the past five years that the lines between traditional marketing, digital and communications have become blurred,” said Julia. “In this exciting new role, I will have the opportunity to synergize our key global functions seamlessly, bringing François Nars’ vision to life for a truly holistic and thoughtful consumer experience.”

Julia began her professional career in public relations at Tractenberg & Co., and later held communication roles at Bumble and bumble and LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton, where she worked in the communication divisions of Parfums Givenchy, Guerlain and Emilio Pucci. Julia joined NARS in 2008 leading the Global Communications team, reinforcing key brand pillars such as fashion and artistry. She graduated from Boston University.

A native of Paris, Julia lives in Brooklyn with her husband and three children.
