Over the course of 37 years, Natural Products Expo West & Engredea has massively expanded with soaring interest in healthy lifestyles to become the largest natural, organic and sustainable products trade show in the world. Held at the Anaheim Convention Center in California from March 9 to March 13, the show attracted more than 80,000 attendees and 3,100 exhibitors.
Beauty Insider scoped the trade show floor for the most exciting things. The most notable key learnings include:
- The reign of charcoal and coconut remains unchallenged.
- Natural cosmetics are catching up to their conventional peers: Food and personal care have never been as closely aligned as they are at the moment.
- The flocks of private-equity investors scoured the trade show floor, proving money holders are betting on beauty consumer enthusiasm for natural products will continue.
- Retailers from mass to class are similarly convinced of natural beauty’s ascent.
