Rose Fernandez has been promoted from Senior Vice President to Chief Executive Officer at Algenist, effective immediately. She will be replacing Frederic Stoeckel, who is stepping down to return to his home country of France to be with his family. He will continue to serve the company as a member of the board.

“I’m honored to take on a greater leadership role within Algenist,” said Rose. “Since starting with the brand, the focus has been on growing our share in the marketplace by leveraging the brand’s clear strengths: sustainably produced algae, and clean and sophisticated formulas that deliver results in 10 days, every time. We have a team of people that are passionate about our customers and our products, which is paralleled with our ambition to lead us to ultimate success.”

Rose began working at Algenist in 2016, and alongside Frederic, helped develop strategies to drive business and brand awareness. She has over 20 years of diverse experience in skin care sales, brand marketing, and digital experience – previously holding leadership roles at Jurlique, Kate Somerville and Murad.

The beauty brand, known for its algae-based skin care line, was acquired by Tengram Capital in August 2016.

“It has been an honor leading the Algenist team since the brand’s inception,” said Frederic. “Rose is the perfect person to further advance the brand. She possesses unparalleled knowledge of the industry and shows clear passion for the products. I’m confident her leadership will help further secure Algenist as a leading prestige skincare brand.”
