This summer Sephora is planning several innovative launches under its Formula X nail brand.

Getting the most buzz is the retailer’s effort in addressing the ultimate nail dilemma: investing in a whole bottle of polish when all you really want is to experiment with a particular hue. Enter Formula X Press Pod, a single-use polish capsule. Formula X Press Pods will be sold in a set of 24 single-use pods, consisting of Formula X’s best-selling polishes. Each pod is designed to be used on-the-go as each has a built-in brush and enough polish to cover 10 nails in two coats. Selling for a limited time for $39, the Press Pods will be available in stores May 1.

The retailer is also launching ASAP 5 Real Nail Lacquer Appliques, items it’s touting as “stunning, first-to-market designs” that offer a unique and coordinating pattern for each nail. The color strips are fully-equipped with built-in base coats and top coats, which are said to last up to 14 days. Each package contains 16 double-ended strips sized to fit all nails, plus a cleaning pad. Designs include In the Print—a graphic black, white and gray geometric pattern—and Vertigo—a sky blue and white ombre print. Each kit will sell for $15 and be available in stores May 1.
