Today CEW hosted a celebratory virtual event announcing the winners of its 27th annual Beauty Creators Awards program, recognizing the year’s most innovative beauty products. Hosted by Julia Haart and daughter Batsheva Haart, the stars of the hit Netflix show “My Unorthodox Life,” this marks the second year the winners have been revealed virtually.

Winners were announced across 30 categories from more than 1,300 product entries representing more than 600 brands. CEW’s beauty awards program is differentiated by the fact that it not only highlights the most innovative brands and products, but the talented creators behind them and the gangbuster teams who worked diligently to create and market them.

Within the program’s specialty award categories, Aveda was presented with the Sustainability Excellence Award, which is sponsored by Firmenich; hair care brand Gussi was awarded the QVC Beauty Quest Award; and Grant Industries Inc. won the Supplier’s Award: Ingredients and Formulation, sponsored by the New York Society of Cosmetic Chemists (NYSCC). Additionally, the Indie Award winner, ILIA Beauty, was hosted by Financo Raymond James, and the Wellness Award winner, The Honey Pot Company Organic Moisturizing Lubricant with Organic Strawberry Flavor, was sponsored by Satisfyer. Notably, under CEW’s new People’s Choice Beauty Creators Awards, held in partnership with Beauty for All and Cheddar News, M.A.C Cosmetics Lip Pencil took home the Social Superstar award, while La Mer Crème de la Mer snagged the Iconic Beauty Award.

According to The NPD Group’s recent U.S. Skincare Consumer Report, at-home solutions continue to trend. The report revealed that among women who use skin care devices, half said they use these tools one or more times per day. It’s not surprising then that competition in the Skin Care Tools category was tight, ultimately resulting in a tie between NuFACE’s FIX Line Smoothing Device and RéVive Skincare’s RéVolve Contouring Massage Roller.

The 2021 CEW Beauty Creators Awards are sponsored by Firmenich, CVS Pharmacy, Financo Raymond James, QVC, Satisfyer, Presperse, NielsenIQ, NYSCC, Badger & Winters, Beauty Inc, Cheddar News, Perfect Corp./YouCam Makeup, Consultancy Media, Fairchild Media Group, Suite K, Kaplow Communications, Elite World Group, The NPD Group and Ernst & Young.
