The Zwilling J.A. Henckels Group, owner of New York-based Tweezerman International LLC, NY, has acquired a majority share of QVS Global, a mass- and medium-market personal care accessories company.

The move strengthens the position of Tweezerman in the U.S. market by positioning it as a leading full service provider for beauty tools and accessories across all price and product segments.

QVS Global was founded in 2004 and is based in Dongguan, China, with a competence center in Melbourne, Australia heading its brand and product development initiatives. The company has a strong expertise in both private label programs as well as in entry and mid-price point tool and accessories brands such as QVS, UBU, Savi, Cosmetrix and Browtician. QVS Global products are sold through multiple channels worldwide including drug stores, specialty and department stores and the food and mass channel.

Kate Deegan founded the company in 2004 with the objective to leverage ex China sourcing and a gap for more fashion focused, competitively priced cosmetic accessories. She will continue to manage QVS Global as its CEO based in Dongguan, China, and Melbourne, Australia.

“QVS Global is the perfect fit for Tweezerman and Zwilling Beauty”, said Dr. Conny Wittke, Member of the Board of Management of the Zwilling Beauty Group and CEO and President of Tweezerman International. “It gives our Group both the expertise and the brand and product portfolio to position ourselves as a leader in all segments of the beauty tool and accessories category with an extensive offering of both brands and private label. With this and both companies’ unique passion and focus for product design and innovation, we are uniquely positioned as the ideal, “go-to” category captains with our own factories, strong sourcing know how and a unique understanding of consumers’ wants and needs.”
