Beauty Insider has been hearing about a slew of new items coming out in the first quarter in mass, prestige, spa and salon outlets. Here’s what we thought you should know about, from the latest anti-aging facial to a new kind of spray root touch-up to a silicone makeup brush.

BRIGHT LIGHTS, BIG CITY: LED lights have been making headway in anti-aging treatments for some time and now they’re hitting the masses. Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa is launching a new, hi-tech facial service, Color4 Light Therapy Facial, which uses four wavelengths of UV-free LED light concurrently to target skin care concerns from acne to wrinkles. Each LED color wavelength provides a therapeutic benefit: amber to build new collagen and elastin, red to reduce inflammation and promote circulation, blue to destroy acne-causing bacteria and infrared to accelerate the skin recovery process and improve product absorption. Available at Red Door Spas.

THE NEW CLEAN: A new movement in hair care is creeping into the beauty category whereby products are formulated so gently so as to meet the needs of dry, processed and over-treated hair. Unwash does just that with its Bio Cleansing Conditioner, which replaces shampoo with a moisturizing formula that removes daily dirt and build up without stripping hair of it natural oils. Available in salons.
