Kayla A. Greaves is an award-winning journalist, beauty expert, and speaker. She was previously the Executive Beauty Editor at InStyle, and has held positions at Bustle and The Huffington Post. Her work has appeared in BuzzFeed, Teen Vogue, ELLE, FASHION magazine, and more. Kayla has interviewed the likes of Lupita Nyong’o, Mary J. Blige, Toni Braxton, Gigi Hadid, Jennifer Lopez, Naomi Campbell, Halle Berry, Gabrielle Union, Dionne Warwick, Drew Barrymore, Viola Davis, Kate Winslet, Dolly Parton, Chaka Khan, and many more stars.

Kayla’s been invited as a speaker to share her expertise on topics such as race, journalism, beauty, and fashion at Harvard Business School, Syracuse’s Newhouse School Of Public Communications, The Jamaica Observer’s Webinar Series, McMaster University, York University, Create & Cultivate, Manifesto Festival, Burson Cohn & Wolfe, the Caribbean Tales Film Festival, and other places.

In 2016, Kayla won a Canadian Online Publishing Award for her work with The Huffington Post. In 2017, she was named on the “Top 100 Black Women to Watch in Canada,” list, and was recognized by the CBC as one of 150 Black women making Canada better. She was nominated for the “Best Online Journalist” prize at ByBlacks.com’s annual People’s Choice Awards in 2019. Her work with the InStyle team was nominated for two Folio Awards in 2021.
