The 2019 Beauty Job Market Report has been released.

A result of a collaboration between CEW and executive recruiting firm, 24 Seven, the report is a compilation of compensation, attitude and behavior insights from employers and job seekers in the beauty industry.

Some results? To start, competition for talent is greater in 2019 than it was last year. And, a majority of beauty executives surveyed feel the odds are strongly in their favor to land a comparable or better job, while some companies are refreshing their approach to talent management to compete in today’s candidate-driven hiring market.

The seventh annual study, released earlier this week, was fielded among CEW’s 10,000-plus U.S. members (men and women), as well as 24 Seven’s network of beauty professionals. It looks to provide beauty-industry specific data on four key areas impacting talent and hiring managers: Compensation & Benefits, Talent Mobility, Battle Stations Recruiting and Hire Expectations & Employer Brand.

Key insights available in the report include:

  • Compensation and benefits trends ·Employers’ top 10 hiring barriers
  • The top 10 reasons for changing jobs, and percentage of beauty employees looking to make a move
  • The top 20 employee benefits and perks employees receive and areas for improvement
  • The latest on leave and non-traditional time off ·And, the hottest skills in demand in today’s job market
