Synbiotic BIO Phycoskin® (SYN-BIO) is a natural, marine-based cosmetic ingredient with prebiotic and postbiotic molecules. It’s designed to balance skin microbiota and control sebum in acne and oily-prone skin. Prebiotic oligosaccharides support healthy microbiota, increasing beneficial bacteria and inhibiting pathogenic bacteria. SYN-BIO’s polyphenols, marine gallic, and caffeic acid reduce sebum production, redness, and acne. In vivo studies demonstrated a -37% reduction in sebum and a +68% increase in moisture. Additionally, 85% of volunteers perceived improved acne-prone skin. A second in vivo study showed a -43% reduction in facial pore area and a +30.4% increase in smoothed facial skin area.
