Brixy, the eco-conscious beauty brand, believes that its sustainable hair and body care bars have replaced 832,619 bottles since the range launched less than three years ago. Now, it is launching a trio of solid face cleansers. “When we launched in 2022, we started with hair care bars because of timing,” Jennifer Brodwick, Brixy’s Vice President of Sales and Marketing, tells reporter Paige Herman-Axel. “We always had a plan to enter skin care.” A coconut oil-derived fatty acid, sodium cocoyl isethionate, replaces harsh surfactants such as sulfates, while the (FSC) certified paper packaging is recyclable and compostable.

This weekend, Anastasia Beverly Hills is hosting a pop-up in New York to mark the launch of the brand’s Beauty Balm, a BB cream in stick form which has already generated a buzz on TikTok, with the help of influencer seeding. The event will feature shade matching sessions, product applications, and more.

On the other side of the pond, Bath & Body Works has opened its first, freestanding London store at the Westfield London shopping center in White City, which is already home to Sephora, SpaceNK, and Boots. Bath & Body Works made its UK debut in 2022 in Bluewater, Kent.

In tech, Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses are getting a major update, available from today in the U.S. and Canada. The Multimodal AI features allow the glasses to “see” what you’re looking at and ask questions. “You can already live stream to Instagram from Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses, but there wasn’t a way to share your view with particular people,” reports Digital Trends. “In an update that’s coming soon, you’ll be able to show your Whatsapp and Messenger friends what you’re looking at and where you are through your Ray-Bans.”
