Five years in the making, Martha Stewart’s first skin care brand, Elm Biosciences, will launch on September 17. Created in collaboration with Dhaval Bhanusali, MD, founder of Hudson Dermatology and Laser Surgery in New York City — Stewart’s own dermatologist – the two-part ritual features a serum and an oral supplement, and centers on extending the life of skin cells. Bhanusali bills it as “a true biotech line,” and key ingredients include hyaluronic acid and squalane.

In other big news, Dyson is debuting its first hair care range, Omega, featuring nourishing sunflower seed oil harvested from founder James Dyson’s farms in Lincolnshire, England. According to WWD, the range “marries his passion for farming with beauty”.

According to new research by the NYC-based Female Founders Fund, female founders are underfunded, yet are outperforming their male counterparts in business. At CEW today, we spotlight an article at Inc  that unpacks the report, which shows that female-founded brands secure more revenue per dollar raised, and use up less capital, than start-ups founded by male entrepreneurs. However, those with female teams receive just 2.1% of funding from venture capital firms.

In her column for CEW, Money Matters With The Fiscal Femme, Ashley Feinstein Gerstley turns her attention to saving money and reducing stress around dinnertime. Also at CEW, we reveal the top selling, fruit-themed beauty products on TikTok Shop, identified by charm.io in a new report.
