In breaking news, MAC Cosmetics has partnered with home interiors brand Lick to create the MAC Black 40 lipstick, launching today. The limited edition was created to mark MAC’s 40th anniversary. “Black is at the heart of MAC’s DNA,” said Dom Skinner, the brand’s Director of Makeup Artistry. “The most exciting part of this collaboration with Lick has been exploring the versatility of black. Showing how it can be harnessed in multiple ways from fierce rebellion to clean minimalist, from a simple sheer sweep to dynamic overdrawn intensity.” Meanwhile, Glossier has dropped Boy Brow Arch, a pencil version of the OG, iconic Boy Brow pomade.

On the fragrance front, Austin-based brand Herb & Root has introduced its niche scents to 150 stores of H-E-B, the supermarket chain based in San Antonio. It hopes to expand to other grocery retailers, such as Hy-Vee and Erewhon “We’re looking for folks that allow us to meet customers where they go regularly,” said Herb & Root’s Julia Kahlig-Garuba, who co-founded the brand with her husband, Waziri Garuba.

In market news, ODDITY Tech Ltd. has released its financial results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2023, which represent its strongest yet. “We believe our year-to-date financial performance, with net revenue growth of 69% year-over-year, $50 million of net income, and $70 million of Adjusted EBITDA, reflects the power of our business model as we work to transform the global beauty and wellness market through technology and entrepreneurial DNA,” said Oran Holtzman, ODDITY co-founder and CEO.

In New York, Goop just hosted a three-day, ’French Pharmacie’ pop-up in Amagansett. The brand showcased a specially curated range of French-inspired clean skin care products and services. Meanwhile, Remedy Place, the new “luxury social wellness club,” is opening in a new SoHo location.
