BoldHue, a makeup device that custom-blends foundation on-demand using a built-in diagnostic tool, debuts directly on the brand’s website today. BoldHue was co-founded by entrepreneur Rachel Wilson, CEO, and Karin Layton, a former aerospace engineer and BoldHue’s Chief Technology Officer. Meanwhile, in tech news, the luxury fashion styling game Drest is collaborating with three celebrity hairstylists — Sam McKnight, Vernon François, and Jennifer Yepez — to “spotlight creatives within the fashion and beauty industries while expanding the game’s interactive offerings,” according to cosmeticsbusiness.com. Speaking of innovation, The Estée Lauder Companies Inc. has announced a partnership with Serpin Pharma, to explore the cosmetic applications of the company’s anti-inflammatory research.

In executive updates, Winky Lux has tapped Lauren Bloomer as the new CEO of the New York-based, clean cosmetics brand. Co-founder Natalie Mackey will remain at the creative helm as Creative Director. Bloomer has more than 23 years of experience working in brand strategy, omnichannel growth, and team leadership. Speaking of female entrepreneurship, entries for the 2025 Veuve Clicquot Bold Woman Award are now open in South Africa. “For over five decades, the Bold Woman Award has championed exceptional women in business, celebrating leaders who don’t just build companies but change the conversation globally,” reports Glamour South Africa.

In markets news, in Frankfurt, the cosmetics group Beiersdorf has gained 3%, reporting EPS of 4.05 euros for 2024, in comparison with 3.24 euros in the year before. Meanwhile, Rhodium, a data and machine learning platform for spas, has announced that it has acquired three beauty and wellness companies, SiO Beauty, Rootine and Solomomo, for an undisclosed sum.
