Today at CEW, we spotlight Dove’s newly released The Dove Self-Esteem Project for Women, which launches with an “online learning experience” at the brand’s website. It follows the brand’s global study last year — The Real State of Beauty Report — which found that millennial women have the lowest body confidence compared to previous generations and as a result, are “over indexing on health conditions linked to body image.
Also at CEW, Andrea Nagel reports on several executive changes. The first is at Ulta Beauty, where we learn about the retirement of CEO Dave Kimbell and the promotion of President and Chief Operating Officer Kecia Steelman to the top spot. Additionally, Nagel reports on The Skin Cancer Foundation’s appointment of Becky Kamowitz as its new female Executive Director. Kamowitz will take over at the helm from Dan Latore, who left last year. “I’ve dedicated much of my career to the Foundation because I care deeply about our mission and the people who look to us for answers in their time of need,” said Kamowitz.
In tech news, CEW reports on L’Oréal Groupe’s unveiling of L’Oréal Cell BioPrint — its new portable skin analysis device. “Using advanced proteomics – the study of how protein composition in the human body affects skin aging – the tabletop hardware device is scheduled to pilot with a L’Oréal brand in Asia at some point in 2025,” reports CEW’s Andrea Nagel. “The technology is the result of an exclusive partnership with Korean startup NanoEnTek.”
