The Spate 2024 Body Care Trends Report has dropped, revealing the key consumer trends of note within the category. At CEW today, we highlight some of the key takeaways, including the resurgence in traditional ingredients and formats, a rising demand for aluminum-free deodorants, and the trend for glycolic body lotions and other ingredients traditionally used in facial skin care.

In executive news, industry sources have said that Tracey Travis, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of The Estée Lauder Companies, will depart the company this year. According to WWD, an internal memo sent by Travis to employees this week didn’t make reference to her leaving the company, but noted that Jane Lauder, Executive Vice President of Enterprise Marketing, and Stéphane de La Faverie, Chief Data Officer and Executive Group President, have been appointed as “co-executive leaders” of the company’s Profit Recovery and Growth Plan.

In hair styling tech, the new GHD Duet Blowdry is making headlines. The 2-in-1 hair dryer brush takes hair from wet to styled, with maximum volume and without damage. It follows the launch of the company’s Duet Hot Air Styler, which launched last year. Meanwhile, in makeup, Fenty Beauty has unveiled its new Trace’d Out Lip Liner, available in 10 shades.
