Blazing a trail in plastic-free beauty, Canadian company ATTITUDE created non-toxic household products for 18 years before venturing into color cosmetics last year. Today at CEW, reporter Kavita Daswani talks to Jean-Francois Bernier, co-founder and CEO, about the development of its 100% vegan, Peta-approved and EWG VERIFIED Oceanly range of refillable beauty and personal care products, from solid shampoos to sunscreen. “Challenges will remain in convincing people that solid beauty products are a better option for them” said Bernier of ATTITUDE, which counts the U.S. among its primary markets. “But we’re excited for the next five years.”

Speaking of pioneering sustainable beauty, it’s been announced that The Body Shop has entered into an exclusivity agreement with Auréa, an investment group co-founded by beauty entrepreneur Mike Jatania, and led by former Molton Brown CEO Charles Denton.
