In breaking news, Puig has announced a sales rise of 7.7% in Q2 of of 2025, to €1 billion. “For the first half of 2025, sales hit €2.3 billion in net revenue, up 7.6% on a comparable basis, in line with analyst expectations,” reports Vogue Business. According to Marc Puig, the company’s CEO, “Fragrance continues to show healthy underlying growth after several exceptionally strong quarters, albeit at a slightly more moderate pace, and it is encouraging to see the recovery of makeup in Q2.”

Gen X beauty shoppers currently make up 25% of the beauty category’s total spend, according to new NielsenIQ research, totaling $1.5 trillion. The company’s latest data reveals that consumers between the ages of 45 and 60 favor products that “balance benefits with simplicity, legacy with innovation.”

Also making headlines this morning, Redken, owned by L’Oréal, has unveiled a new Artistic Ambassador Network. The new collective includes Evanie Frausto, hairstylist to Sabrina Carpenter, and 19 other “esteemed celebrity stylists, colorists, and educators to elevate their unparalleled expertise and knowledge within the beauty industry,” reports WWD. 

In executive news, the iconic Florentine fragrance house Santa Maria Novella has tapped Ludivine Pont as the new CEO of Officina Profumo-Famaceuitica di Santa Maria Novella. Pont currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer at Balenciaga. The husband-and-wife duo behind Fresh sat down with CEW. “The biggest mistake founders make is when they have equal roles in respect to decision making in every part of the business,” said Roytberg. “Ultimately, when you run a business, everything is a compromise.” (CEW)

Instagram Allows Google Searches Of Professional Account Posts. According to Global Cosmetics News, “photos, videos, carousels, and Reels from these accounts are now eligible for indexing.
