What are the biggest beauty looks and products trending on TikTok? CEW’s ViralMoment June 2024 reveals all, with key trends ranging from full-face makeup routines – as opposed to last summer’s clean girl look – to Met Gala-inspired iridescent shine, and the boldest, brightest and most colorful looks of Pride Month.

Also at CEW today, reporter Polly Blitzer talks to Catherine D’Aragon, General Manager, North America at Laboratoires Expanscience – owner of Mustela and Babo Botanicals – about the company’s trailblazing work in sustainability, and its impact in boosting the wellbeing of the planet and global communities. “Our mission is to become a regenerative company, striving to revitalize ecosystems that have been negatively affected,” explains D’Aragon.

In consumer trends, the market for French-inspired scents and skin care for babies and children is growing. Baby Dior’s new, alcohol-free “eau de senteur” fragrance, cleansing mousse, hair care and body care products all made their U.S. debut at Dior’s New York boutique and JFK airport last month. Meanwhile, Bonpoint’s range is expanding, and Dr Barbara Sturm has launched a Baby & Kids Collection, created by Sturm for her own daughter, with five prestige skin care products, and is available at Bergdorf Goodman. Euromonitor estimates that sales in this niche category will increase by 7.3 percent, between 2024 and 2025.

In cosmetics news, Australian YouTuber and singer Troye Sivan has been appointed Rabanne’s first global makeup brand ambassador. Sivan’s first campaign is for the brand’s The NUDES collection. Meanwhile, making retail headlines, Goop has opened the doors to its first retail location to offer in-store facials, at the Marin Country Mart in Larkspur, California. A long-held dream for Gwyneth Paltrow, the facial room offers a menu of bookable, in-store beauty services, using Goop skin care products such as the Microderm Instant Glow Exfoliator, Youth-Boost Peptide Serum, and All-in-One Super Nutrient Face Oil.
