Fragrance dupe brand Dossier is making headlines today with the announcement that it is opening its first brick and mortar boutique, in NYC. Founded in 2019 by Sergio Tache, also Dossier’s CEO, the company’s debut store will open on Elizabeth Street in NoLita (a stone’s throw from other big name scent boutiques, including Aesop and Le Labo). “This boutique has been a long time coming,” Tache told WWD.

In other breaking news, Unilever has inked an agreement to buy Dr. Squatch, the male grooming brand, for an undisclosed sum. Meanwhile, L’Oréal’s CEO, Nicolas Hieronimus, has spoken to Bloomberg about the company’s performance across categories, globally. According to Global Cosmetics News, “demand remains solid in mass and dermatological beauty, while the middle market is underperforming. Haircare and fragrance are performing strongly in both the U.S. and U.K., while makeup is weaker.”
