In executive headlines, Sarah Coonan, retail managing director of Liberty London, is stepping down from the company at the end of January 2026. Coonan has been at Liberty London for 15 years, holding multiple senior roles, including head of buying for beauty, and buying director, before being appointed retail managing director in 2022. The store is celebrating its 150th anniversary this year, and just unveiled its new Beauty Studio concept space.

In other breaking news, dermatologist Dr. Marnie Nussbaum has renamed her skin care brand, formerly known as Lines, as simply Dr. Marnie. “People were saying that the thread was missing connecting my dermatologic expertise, my name, myself, my aesthetic world and the brand,” Dr. Nussbaum told WWD. “Renaming it just clarifies the source and the credibility I have.” Jodi Kaplan has also been appointed the brand’s new Chief Executive Officer.

L’Oréal is investing €60m in its plant in Gaunchy, Northern France, the company has announced, to further accelerate its fragrance production. The aim is to double the production capacity at the site, which specialising in manufacturing scents for L’Oréal’s Luxe Division.

As part of the Vaseline Healing Project, the brand has partnered with Direct Relief to announce two $50,000 donations to support Venice Family Clinic’s (Los Angeles) and Baptist Community Health Services’ (New Orleans) mobile medical units. “The mobile medical units deliver primary care, dermatology, mental health support and cancer screenings directly to communities that have endured natural disasters – including LA neighborhoods still recovering from this year’s wildfire, which are linked to increased skin issues, and New Orleans neighborhoods facing persistent barriers like limited transportation and scarce dermatology and healthcare since Hurricane Katrina destroyed 90% of local clinics,” reports Happi.

In new product updates, Townhouse has debuted its first nail polish range, The Flawless Collection, since opening its first, luxe nail salon in 2018. There are now 40 Townhouse salons throughout the US and UK.
