Beauty brands are finding new ways to connect with consumers through innovative products, retail experiences, and digital partnerships. Recent developments also show companies focusing on leadership, financial growth, and strategies to keep their brands relevant in a changing market.
Elemis has introduced a red light mask for professional treatments and at-home use, expanding into the growing beauty-device market. The silicone mask features 66 LEDs and three light wavelengths intended to address redness, texture, firmness, and visible photodamage. Elemis recommends 10-minute sessions, with results expected with consistent use. The brand cites testing that found improvements in brightness, smoothness and redness, as well as user-reported gains in texture, firmness and tone. The mask is sold through selected Elemis locations and its website. The launch builds on the brand’s recent expansion of in-store treatments and skin-analysis services, as demand for electrical skincare devices continues to rise. (The Industry Beauty)
Kiehl’s is using its 175-year history to strengthen its modern skin care business while adapting to younger consumers and discovery habits. The brand’s strategy combines science-backed product innovation with its longstanding focus on sampling, expert consultations, and personalized service. Recent launches address concerns such as skin-barrier repair and preventive skincare, while ski-resort partnerships turn product benefits into hands-on experiences. Kiehl’s is also investing in physical retail, including a new London flagship designed to build customer loyalty and community, not just drive sales. As social media introduces the brand to Gen Z and millennials, Kiehl’s aims to grow through digital and omnichannel experiences without losing the service and identity that set it apart. Running through December, the partnership includes TV segments, social videos, audience giveaways, and an in-store Spirit Tunnel experience for shoppers. The show’s staff will also visit an Ulta store to give customers their own personalized welcomes. The campaign is part of Ulta’s “The Magic Starts With You” holiday initiative and marks its second holiday collaboration with the show. The partnership reflects brands’ growing use of recognizable entertainment moments to connect with audiences across television, social media and retail. (Forbes)
