In executive news, Kenvue Inc. has announced the appointment of Andrew Stanleick, a former longtime Coty executive, as President of Skin Health and Beauty in North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Stanleick, most recently CEO of BeautyHealth, will oversee brands including Neutrogena, Aveeno, and OGX in those regions. “With over two decades of experience in leading the profitable growth and omnichannel transformation of global multibrand portfolios in skin health, beauty, and fashion, Andrew brings a proven track-record of success and deep industry knowledge to strengthen the growth trajectory of our skin health and beauty segment in key markets,” said Charmaine England, Kenvue’s Chief Growth Officer.

Coty has published its FY24 Sustainability Report, flagging its progress in reaching its environmental goals as a company and exceeding some 2030 targets ahead of schedule. “In FY24, Coty made extraordinary progress toward our ESG goals, from achieving gender balance in leadership to setting ambitious new targets on packaging and water use,” said Sue Nabi, Coty CEO. “Sustainability remains central to Coty’s success as we continue to make progress in areas critical to the future of beauty.”

Trinny London is opening a pop-up boutique in SoHo, New York, opening on Monday, November 11. Due to be in place for at least four months, the temporary store located at 124 Prince Street will also offer skin care and makeup consultations by appointment, now bookable online. In other skin care updates, cult brand May Lindstrom is returning to retail after a four year direct-to-consumer (DTC) focus, and actress Lili Reinhart is launching a skin care range, Personal Day, designed to address the emotional and physical impact of acne. The brand is backed by Red Sea Ventures and will makes its debut as a DTC company.

On the other side of the pond, a TV advertisement for Boots No 7 Future Renew serum has been banned by the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) after it upheld 18 complaints for its “light-hearted and flippant” tone concerning sun safety.
