IPSY Launches A Wellness Tier; Gap Beauty Introduces First Gourmand Fragrance With Holiday Launch; Andrea Lisbona Steps Down As Touchland CEO; L’Oréal Travel Retail Targets Refillable Fragrance Growth By 2030; Galderma To Acquire ZO Skin Health For $1.5 Billion

The beauty industry continues to see major moves across sustainability, brand expansion, and strategic acquisitions. Recent developments highlight how companies are investing in new product formats, strengthening their market positions, and responding to evolving consumer demand

IPSY is expanding beyond beauty with the launch of IPSY Wellness, a quarterly membership designed to help consumers discover products that support their overall well-being. The new offering reflects the growing connection between beauty and wellness, with collections tailored to different needs and interests. Members can choose from three options: Skin, Hair, and Total Wellness, each featuring four curated products at more than 50% off retail value. Launch partners include Goli, Sakara and Apothékary, with additional brands such as Lemme and Beam expected in 2027. By using member feedback and product preferences to guide its selections, IPSY aims to make wellness discovery more accessible while helping consumers explore new brands and routines. (PR Newswire)

Gap Beauty is expanding its fragrance lineup with Bliss, a limited-edition holiday scent featuring warm notes of butterscotch, cocoa bean, and vanilla bourbon. Launched October 15, the fragrance is available in full-size and travel-size eau de parfum formats, alongside the brand’s first body-care products, including hand cream and body lotion. The launch also marks a shift from Gap’s earlier focus on reviving nostalgic fragrances toward the growing gourmand scent trend. Actress Brittany O’Grady will front the campaign launching October 20, while holiday gift sets and discovery collections will offer consumers more ways to explore the range. The expansion comes amid an executive change at Gap Inc., following John Demsey’s departure. (Glossy)

Andrea Lisbona, founder of Touchland, has stepped down as CEO but will remain involved as a strategic adviser focused on brand development, innovation and retail partnerships. The leadership change comes as parent company Church & Dwight pushes to expand the hand sanitizer brand internationally, with plans to enter additional markets and reach more than 20 countries by early 2027. Touchland has continued to broaden its offerings through popular collaborations with brands including Sanrio, Peanuts and Disney, while also exploring body and hair fragrance products. Church & Dwight is now seeking a new general manager or vice president to oversee the brand’s global strategy and operations as it enters its next phase of growth. (Beauty Independent)

L’Oréal Travel Retail is partnering with global travel retailer Avolta to expand refillable fragrance options and improve sustainability across international travel hubs. Under a new Sustainability-Linked Business Plan, the companies aim for refill solutions to account for 10% of L’Oréal’s core fragrance categories by 2030. The initiative also includes reducing transportation emissions, improving truckload efficiency, and introducing sustainability training for beauty advisors. The push comes as consumer demand for more sustainable beauty options continues to grow, with L’Oréal citing data showing that 80% of Gen Z shoppers seek sustainable products in duty-free stores. The agreement was signed at the 2026 TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes, France. (Cosmetics Business)

Galderma has agreed to acquire ZO Skin Health in a $1.5 billion all-cash deal, expanding its presence in the medical-grade skincare market. Founded by dermatologist Dr. Zein Obagi, ZO Skin Health generated approximately $330 million in net sales over the 12 months through June 2026 and operates in more than 40 countries. The acquisition will add to Galderma’s existing skincare portfolio, which includes Cetaphil and Alastin, while strengthening its connections with dermatologists, medical spas and aesthetic professionals. Galderma plans to increase commercial investment to support the brand’s growth and explore opportunities for international expansion and product innovation. The transaction is expected to close in late 2026 or early 2027, pending regulatory approval. (Global Cosmetics News)
