In beauty executive moves, Chanel has appointed Katie Welch in the newly created position of Head of US Brand and Communications. Currently Chief Marketing Officer at Selena Gomez’s Rare Beauty, Welch is a beauty veteran who has previously held leadership roles at Hourglass Cosmetics and The Honest Company. She will join Chanel on January 5, and also be part of Chanel’s U.S. management committee.
M.A.C. is also making headlines, with the announcement that it is entering Sephora U.S. stores, in January 2026. “We are thrilled to expand our partnership with M.A.C., giving all Sephora U.S. shoppers access to one of the most iconic brands in beauty,” said Carolyn Bojanowski, EVP Merchandising at Sephora U.S.
No Makeup Makeup founder Victoria Jackson has unveiled the brand’s first scent, No Fragrance Fragrance. “What we are, what our new category is, is a fragrance essence,” Kim Wileman, Jackson’s longtime collaborator, told WWD. Wileman co-created the scent, which is designed to help to protect the skin’s microflora. “We’re at 3% fragrance, and we were able to create the fragrance to last four hours in total.”

The round was backed by Atomic, Foresite Capital, and Polaris Partners. Meanwhile, from Shark Tank to Walmart, Atlanta-based, independent soap maker Kristen Dunning’s products will be launching at the retailer. Meanwhile, JLo Beauty has launched That First Take Define & Depuff Eye Masks, designed to target the under-eye area, in advance of the holiday season.
