Teleties Expands At Walmart; Amorepacific Sets Ambitious Growth Goal; Unilever Embraces AI In Beauty; Puig Expands Its Skincare Portfolio; Mane and Cinnabon Create Sweet Beauty Collab

The beauty industry continues to see major changes, from brands expanding into new retail spaces and markets to companies embracing technology and collaborations.

Teleties, the hair accessory brand known for comfortable, no-snag hair ties, is growing its retail presence with a new launch at more than 500 Walmart stores. The brand will offer a selection of hair ties, clips, and brushes, giving shoppers more affordable and convenient options for everyday styling. Founded in 2017, Teleties has grown from one signature product into a larger collection of hair accessories, including scrunchies, headbands, and pins. Much of the company’s success has come from word of mouth and social media rather than traditional advertising. Its Walmart expansion shows how the brand continues to reach new customers while focusing on products that combine practicality, comfort, and trendy designs. (Beauty Independent)

South Korean beauty company Amorepacific is aiming for KRW 15 trillion in group sales by 2035 as it looks to expand beyond its traditional cosmetics business. The company plans to focus more on dermatology-inspired skincare, clinical beauty products, and hair care to drive international growth. Brands such as Aestura, Illiyoon, IOPE, Ryo, and Mise en Scene will play important roles in this expansion, with plans to enter more markets across Europe, the US, China, Japan, and Brazil. Amorepacific also intends to strengthen its online presence through social media, e-commerce, customer data, and AI. The strategy reflects the company’s effort to build a broader global beauty business with strong growth across skincare and hair care. (Global Cosmetics News)

Unilever is turning to artificial intelligence to make beauty product development faster, smarter, and more responsive to consumer trends. Its Beauty & Wellbeing division, which includes brands such as Dove, Vaseline, Dermalogica, and Nutrafol, is using AI to analyze consumer behavior, scientific research, and product data. The technology has helped shorten formulation timelines and speed up the creation of product claims and concepts. AI has also contributed to innovations such as Pond’s Hydra Miracle skincare and Dove’s Damage Therapy haircare. However, Unilever stresses that technology is not replacing its scientists. Instead, AI allows researchers to work with large amounts of information more efficiently, giving them more time to focus on creativity, research, and product development. (Premium Beauty News)

Puig is strengthening its position in skincare by taking full ownership of Isdin, a brand focused on dermatology and science-backed beauty. The Spanish company has agreed to purchase the remaining 50% stake from Corporación Químico-Farmacéutica Esteve, ending a partnership that has lasted five decades. The acquisition is part of Puig’s larger plan to grow its presence in dermocosmetics and invest in innovative skincare solutions. Isdin will continue developing products based on scientific research while working closely with healthcare professionals and consumers. Puig also plans to support Isdin’s team and long-term growth. The deal highlights Puig’s increasing focus on skincare as it looks to expand beyond its existing beauty brands and strengthen its position in the global market. (Cosmetics Business)

Mane and Cinnabon are teaming up for a playful limited-edition beauty collection inspired by the bakery’s famous cinnamon rolls. The $28 kit features an Extra Frosting lip gloss designed to capture the scent and flavor of Cinnabon’s signature cream cheese frosting, along with a pink brush, mirror, and Cinnabon rewards card. The collaboration blends beauty with nostalgia, giving fans a fun way to experience the Cinnabon brand beyond its bakeries. Mane founder Jen Atkin said the partnership was especially meaningful because of her longtime connection to Cinnabon. The collection will launch through Sephora and Mane’s website in late September, with a special consumer event planned in Los Angeles to celebrate the collaboration. (PR Newswire)
