Orveon Global, the parent company of premium beauty brands Laura Mercier, BareMinerals, and Buxom, has tapped seasoned CEO Neela Montgomery as its new leader, effective January 18. Most recently, Montgomery served as a Board Partner at Greycroft, a leading venture capital firm. She will also join the Orveon Board of Directors.

“Neela is a highly accomplished leader in high-growth, vibrant consumer businesses and we are thrilled to welcome her as CEO of Orveon,” said Tricia Glynn, Chair of the Board at Orveon and Managing Partner at Advent International. “Orveon has established a strong foundation in its two years since launch and Neela is the ideal executive for this next phase of growth. Her special mix of global experience, operational acumen and record of growing consumer brands will position the business for long-term success.”

Montgomery succeeds Pascal Houdayer who joined Orveon shortly after it was created in 2021 when Advent International acquired all three businesses from Shiseido Americas for $700 million. Houdayer reportedly left the company in December 2023.

In addition to leading, scaling, and transforming consumer businesses including CVS Health, Crate & Barrel Holdings, Otto Group, and Tesco PLC, Montgomery is a member of the Board of Directors of Logitech, Squarespace, and Fetch.  She also sits on the Board of St Jude’s Hospital, the world’s leading non-profit pediatric cancer hospital, as well as the Board of Wellsense, the largest Medicaid provider in Massachusetts. Montgomery studied English Literature at Oxford University and holds an M.B.A from INSEAD in France and Singapore.
