Alex Lorestani is co-founder and CEO of Geltor, the leader in AI-designed peptides and proteins for beauty, wellness, and longevity brands. Geltor designs clinical studies around populations the beauty industry often overlooks. Its preclinical and clinical research on Elastapure® has uncovered a broader role for topical elastin polypeptides, from supporting skin resilience across the menopausal transition and into postmenopause to advancing the science of hair follicle longevity. PrimaColl®, Geltor’s ingestible vegan collagen, is the first collagen since 1999 to receive an FDA “no questions” response to a GRAS notice. In placebo-controlled clinical studies, PrimaColl® improved skin firmness and moisturization and reduced wrinkle depth at daily doses of 1 to 2.5 grams, a fraction of conventional collagen doses. By company estimates, a Geltor-powered product is purchased somewhere in the world approximately every two seconds. Alex founded Geltor in 2015 with a Princeton classmate while pursuing an MD/PhD at Rutgers and Princeton.
