With nearly two decades of experience across three continents, including 15 years at L’Oreal, Alexandra is an energetic Beauty Industry leader known for building and revitalizing global brands. Alexandra began her career in Paris, where she worked directly with Mr. Giorgio Armani, which has shaped her eye for design and beauty. Her passion for New York brought her to the US in 2005, where she has led multiple brands to success, including Giorgio Armani Beauty, Yves Saint Laurent Beauty, Shu Uemura, Viktor and Rolf and Maison Margiela.

Since her appointment as the Global President of Laura Mercier in 2017, Papazian has led the re-launch of the iconic brand following its acquisition by the Shiseido group. Under Alexandra’s dynamic stewardship, Laura Mercier’s digital presence has undergone a rapid transformation, proving it is possible for a heritage brand to pivot its digital and social media presence and relevancy to become best in class.

 

At the head of Laura Mercier, Alexandra has sought to build an exceptional culture and worldly team to propel the brand onto the global stage. With her leadership, the team has reconceptualized the consumer experience of the Laura Mercier brand, redesigning point of sale experience to draw from the sensibilities of the brand’s two homes, Paris and New York. Working closely with founder Laura Mercier, she has spearheaded the creative reinvention of the brand as an aspirational, feminine and modern brand. This has led to success in the home market of the US, as well as successful global expansion in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Alexandra is celebrated as a passionate and innovative leader who believes in dreaming big. She also enjoys serving as a mentor within and outside of the beauty industry to help everyone she works with realize their full potential.

 

Alexandra currently resides in Brooklyn, with her husband and two young daughters. She loves, design, modern art, as well as spending time surrounded by the lush nature of Upstate New York.
