Joy Atkinson
Joy Atkinson leads Presperse Inc. as President & CEO, and leverages international experience and innovation for success, achieving record sales and profits. Joy’s experience working with international companies and her willingness to challenge the status quo throughout her career have given her the knowledge and successful track record she needs to succeed. Joy is responsible for the company’s overall vision and strategy, financial objectives, and thought leadership in maximizing Presperse’s position as a trusted supplier. Under Joy’s leadership, the company became certified as a Great Place to Work, which is awarded to the company by its employees. Joy is a strategically focused, results-oriented leader with a proven track record. Joy is a Board member of Cosmetic Executive Women, a for-profit organization with over 7,000 members in the Beauty and Personal Care Industries. Joy supports the growth of young female leaders as a member of the Leadership Council for High Point University’s Elizabeth Miller Strickland Women’s Leadership Council. Joy also sits on the Board of Directors for Independent Beauty Association, which serves a critical need in the indie segment of the beauty industry overseeing the advancement of IBA’s mission and goals. This involves governing toward a strategic direction, ensuring legal and ethical integrity, promoting IBA’s public standing, ensuring compliance with IBA Policies and Bylaws, and keeping the association financially strong. for the Global Wellness Institute. Joy appreciates the need to always give back through her sponsorship and support of many US-based initiatives to encourage the education of young Americans in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in the United States. Joy is a graduate of the J Mack Robinson School of Business at Georgia State University. She holds a certification in Design Thinking from the MIT Sloan College of
Business and a certificate in Negotiation from the Harvard School of Business.
