Julianne Pruett
SVP, Scent Growth Accelerator SymriseJulianne Pruett has extensive global business experience from over 30+ years working at leading fragrance manufacturers around the world, including: Givaudan, Firmenich, IFF, and now at Symrise, as SVP Scent Growth Accelerator.
Julianne has led diverse international teams of fragrance experts to manage large-scale businesses and drive growth in every region. Holding various positions throughout her extensive beauty career, she has developed expertise across different aspects of the business, including: sales, finance, people management/recruiting, product development, operations, consumer insights & analytics, strategic brand marketing, licensing and new business development.
Julianne has most recently been at Symrise for 10+ years, working her way up in 3 distinct roles intended to drive profitable growth. Starting in 2016, as VP Fine Fragrance North America, Julianne led the successful turnaround of the NA business, outpacing the industry by 300%, winning significant new business at targeted accounts and aggressively stealing market share from key competitors.
In 2023, Julianne was promoted to Global President, Fine Fragrance, where she continued to outpace market growth and win key launches with targeted global beauty players such as: Puig, L’Oreal, BBW, ELC and O’Boticario, all whilst elevating the innovative image and desirability of the fine fragrance brand.
In June 2026, Julianne was promoted to lead a newly developed, cross-divisional department that spans fine fragrance and consumer products. As SVP Scent Growth Accelerator, her group’s primary mission is to accelerate the Scent division’s profitable growth agenda via an intelligence-led integration of: commercial strategy, consumer market insights, innovation and communication, to increase market penetration, generate incremental revenue streams and amplify Symrise’s unique selling proposition and brand distinction.
Julianne graduated Magna Cum Laude from YALE University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1993. In 2014, Julianne completed an intensive international executive management program at INSEAD University. She is currently a board member of The Fragrance Foundation as well as Cosmetic Executive Women.
