Lauren Thaman leads communications for P&G Ventures. Working with internal and external experts, innovators and entrepreneurs from around the world, this fast-learning, start-up like environment is creating brands in product categories where P&G does not provide solutions today. Affectionately called the Chief Credentialing Officer, Lauren is responsible for strategic communications, influencer marketing and credentialing across all categories in P&G Ventures. As this is a new area for P&G and the CPG industry Lauren and her team are creating and experimenting with better ways to use communications in both direct-to-consumer and traditional brick and mortar businesses.
Over a decade ago Lauren was able to merge her passion for storytelling and innovation to create the scientific communications organization for P&G. She continues to be passionate about using communications to drive connections and deliver business results speaking on consumer innovation and its role in people lives at SXSW, E&Y Strategic Growth Forum, Fashion Group International and in Bloomberg, WSJ, Reuters, BBC, Fox and Friends and numerous beauty and consumer publications .
Lauren has spent 27 years of her more than 30 year P&G career specializing in women’s health, skin, hair, and scalp technology. She holds seven patents, has published in peer reviewed journals and presented at scientific meetings. She holds a BS, Chemistry from Miami University and MS, Pharmaceutical Science with a concentration in Cosmetic Science from the University of Cincinnati.
