Facebook Creative Strategist FacebookBorn in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, Mafê Villas Boas immigrated to Brooklyn almost a decade ago. In her 13 years as a Creative Strategist, Mafê has created culturally responsive work for brands such as Clinique, Dove, Coca-Cola, Sprite, Heineken, and Volkswagen. She currently works at Facebook/Instagram’s Creative Shop with Beauty and Personal Care Brands and is responsible for the group’s largest DEI program: UNLEARN, a Global Speaker Series designed to tackle racial and cultural biases. Prior to joining Facebook, Villas Boas taught Cross-Cultural Bootcamps across the US focused on Black, Hispanic, Asian and LGBTQIA+ audiences.
